AEM Releases Honda B-Series Coil-On-Plug Conversion Kit

AEM has finally released a Coil-On-Plug (COP) conversion kit for all die-hard Honda tuners with a B-Series engine in their Honda Civic or Acura Integra. I doubt that the kit will make a great replacement for an aging cap/rotor/wire assembly due to its hefty price, but for a serious tuner this kit will solve a known performance problem common to B-series engine's OE igniter. Nevertheless, AEM believes that the price of their kit is more affordable now because a capacitive discharge ignition module is no longer needed to make the conversion. Combined with an outstanding coil-on-plug performance, this kit is a great upgrade for a performance-minded tuner with a moderately modified engine in their car. For a budget-minded racer, MSD Ignition makes some great ignition upgrades at affordable prices.
Features:
  • Can be used with most programmable engine management systems.
  • Includes instructions for an easy hook up with AEM EMS or common aftermarket ECUs.
  • Includes PnP wiring harness labeled and stamped for easy wire identification and installation.
  • Eliminates factory igniter with AEM's 4-Channel Coil Driver for driving 2-wire individual dumb coils.
  • Includes AEM CDI Pencil coils and Engine Position Module to provide a reliable timing pattern to AEM EMS or aftermarket ECU.
